The ECx mullion reader is a complete Cryptag® Census® reader. It has been designed to provide a short range, low cost alternative to Identec's "Hands Free" readers. It is simple and quick to install. Supplied as standard in a black ABS housing the fixing screws are covered with a grey and blue label as shown. Alternative housing and labels can be supplied contact Identec for further information.
The ECx operates with any Cryptag® Census® tag providing a typical reading range with the TC1 tags of 15cm. LED indication is provided to indicate power to the reader and that a tag is being read. A separate Green LED can be controlled externally to indicate acceptance by the management systems.

Ordering Information
Ordered as EC1 (EC1A - USA systems) for open 26 bit Wiegand Reader or EC2 (EC2A - USA systems) and any variant. Can be supplied with buzzer to indicate tag battery condition.
